Welshimer - Eliza Dunbar

Mrs. Eliza Alice Welshamer passed away at 6 o’clock Friday evening at the family home near Kirkpatrick, after an illness from Bright’s disease. The deceased was born Oct 2, 1859 in Boone County and was the daughter of Robert and Mary Dunbar. She was married in 1884 to John M. Royer, three children being born to the union. Mr. Royer died in 1895 and in 1902 the widow was united in marriage to Simon Welshamer who survives. Surviving also are two sons John and Curtis Royer and a daughter, Miss Mary Royer of Colfax; five sisters, Miss Melrosa Dunbar, Mrs. Lydie Hays, Mrs. Emma Smith, Mrs. Mattie Horney, all residing near Kirkpatrick and Mrs. Esta Hutchinson of Pittsburgh, PA and two brothers, Willard Dunbar of Greensburg and Elias Dunbar of Oklahoma. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Kirkpatrick ME Church, Rev. CM McClure of Linden officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery, south of Clarks Hill. - kbz
